Edinboro University’s Online Campus is hosted on the Desire2Learn Learning Management System. Desire2Learn (D2L) is designed to create a rich online learning environment for students. The Desire2Learn system allows faculty to post lectures, homework assignments and exams and even conduct online discussions and more. Desire2Learn is accessible to anyone with regular access to a PC or Mac and a reliable, high-speed Internet connection.
In order to attend classes online, you will need a high-speed Internet connection and modern computer. Our online courses are delivered over a system called Desire2Learn. Please run its system check on your computer.
To make the most of your online learning experience, you’ll need access to minimum system technology. Refer to the guidelines below to help ensure your online success:
We recommend you install the latest versions of Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, QuickTime and Windows Media Components (for Macintosh users). Some professors may require you to download additional software to complete coursework.
If you have questions related to logging into my.Edinboro and Online Campus (D2L), please contact our Technology Help Center at (814) 732-2111. Student passwords expire every 180 days and employee passwords expire every 90 days. Once your password has expired, you won’t have access to Online Campus (D2L) and will need to reset.
Please review the password reset instructions on the password management webpage.
Video conferencing enables synchronous distance education with real-time audio/video. It’s also used for administrative meetings and non-credit classes. Edinboro maintains four on-campus video-conferencing facilities, as well as another located at the Porreco College in Erie.
Edinboro University, along with several of the other PASSHE schools, make ITV courses available to all students who are currently enrolled at one of the 14 PASSHE schools.
