          Edinboro faculty member receives state recognition for fight against opioid epidemics

          A veteran faculty member in Edinboro University’s Nursing Department received a commendation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for her tireless efforts promoting the education and prevention of drug abuse.

          Dr. Susan Maloney, a registered nurse, nurse practitioner and assistant professor of Nursing at Edinboro, received a Certificate of Commendation from Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro for distinguishing herself as a dedicated a valued educator in the fight against the opioid epidemic.
