Edinboro welcomes future Fighting Scots to Fall Open House

Award-winning programs. Faculty experts. Championship NCAA athletics programs. Modern learning facilities.

Prospective students and their families will achieve this checklist and more during two Fall Open House sessions at Edinboro University on Oct. 20 and Nov. 10. With a new format to the exploratory visits, Edinboro’s Office of Admissions will lead visitors through tours of campus and academic department discovery.

“From sharing success stories of students and alumni to meeting faculty members from our award-winning academic programs, these sessions are designed to deliver an introduction to the Edinboro experience – all in one place at one time,” said Diane Raybuck, director of Admissions at Edinboro. “This is an exciting time for young adults and their families. Our mission is to offer an outline of Edinboro, as conveniently as possible.”

Both Fall Open House sessions will follow the same schedule, featuring welcoming remarks from Interim President Michael Hannan and a presentation from the Admissions team. Following the introduction, visitors will divide into two groups and rotate between a campus tour and a discovery session with academic departments, Financial Aid Office and refreshments.

Students will also have the opportunity to apply to Edinboro at no cost.

“Our Admissions team is fully dedicated to assisting students in a seamless transition from high school to Edinboro University,” said Dr. William Edmonds, vice president for Enrollment Management and Retention. “From submitting the initial college application to walking across the stage at Edinboro’s commencement, we will make sure all of our students have the tools they need for success.”

Families and students are welcome to tour Edinboro’s 585-acre campus and take self-guided tours of the Highlands housing complex during the day as well.
