Dr. Stacie Wolbert, associate provost and interim dean of students, has been appointed associate vice president for student affairs, effective June 11. She has served as interim dean since September 2017, while continuing to serve as associate provost, a position she has held since August 2016.
“Dr. Wolbert has served as interim dean of students for the past year and during that time has demonstrated both a student-centered approach and the leadership skills necessary to ensure our students have a positive experience,” said Interim President Michael Hannan.
“The young men and women who enroll at Edinboro are at the heart of what we do. The educational experience takes place in the classroom, but also through clubs, organizations, service opportunities, and in our residence halls. Student Affairs plays a critical role in the Edinboro experience. I am certain that we will make further strides under Dr. Wolbert’s continued leadership.”
An associate professor in Edinboro’s Department of Middle & Secondary Education and Educational Leadership, Dr. Wolbert has served that department as chair. She has also served as director of professional development schools for the School of Education and as director of the university’s Center for Faculty Excellence.
A native of Clarion, Dr. Wolbert earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and teacher certification from Clarion University and a master’s in educational leadership from Edinboro University. She earned a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
