          Remote Instruction Technical Requirements



          With a high-speed Internet connection and modern computer, students can enjoy all of the benefits of Edinboro University’s Online Campus.

          Edinboro University’s Online Campus is primarily hosted on the Brightspace Learning Environment by D2L. Students can access their course materials by utilizing a web browser and a reliable, high-speed Internet connection.

          To test if your device is adequate for Brightspace, please run the "System Check" tool provided by D2L.

          Brightspace supports all commonly used Browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Edge.

          While Brightspace can be accessed via a cell phone or tablet, some courses may include content/activities that require use of desktop/laptop computer. At this time, an iPad is not recommended as a primary device, as some aspects of a course may not be supported.

          Zoom publish their own System Requirements and provides guidance on associated hardware.

          • An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
          • Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
          • A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in

          Remote Exam Proctoring Technical Requirements

          Your program may require the use of a remote proctoring service when completing exams. Technical requirements include:

          • Windows: 10, 8
          • Mac: OS X 10.10 or higher
          • Web camera (internal or external) & microphone
          • A high-speed internet connection

          If you have questions related to logging into my.Edinboro and Online Campus (D2L), please contact our Technology Help Center at (814) 732-2111. Student passwords expire every 180 days and employee passwords expire every 90 days. Once your password has expired, you won’t have access to Online Campus (D2L) and will need to reset.
