During your final semester of the Bachelor of Social Work program, you will have the opportunity for extensive hands-on learning through an internship with a social service organization. You will spend four full days per week at your internship site and work under the supervision of a professional social worker. It’s never too soon to start thinking about what comes after your undergraduate degree. Many BSW graduates go on to complete Edinboro University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) and obtain licensure, which opens additional clinical and professional possibilities.
Edinboro's [BSW/MSW] program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education's Commission on Accreditation. Accreditation of a baccalaureate or master's social work program by the Council on Social Work Education' Commission on Accreditation indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of program quality evaluated through a peer review process. An accredited program has sufficient resources to meet its mission and goals and the Commission on Accreditation has verified that it demonstrates compliance with all sections of the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards.
