Communication, Journalism and Media Department
The Communication, Journalism and Media Department at Edinboro University maintains a computer mediated communication lab in Compton Hall, room 210. The room is used as a digital media lab, providing state-of-the-art technological support for instruction in digital media production, web design and related areas. Assistance is also available with Expert Choice, a group decision support system that allows groups to make decisions using computers in the process. Dr. Kathleen Golden may be contacted at email@example.com for questions about the system.
The Department also oversees the Campus Media Center, located in Compton Hall. Offices for EU's three student-run media sources—The Spectator student newspaper, WFSE-FM radio and ETV television—are located in the Center.
Department offices and resources are all conveniently located in Compton Hall. First used by the Borough of Edinboro as a public school, Compton Hall also houses the Psychology Department. A major 2011 renovation saw the large gymnasium at the center of the building remade into a state-of-the-art lecture hall, brought the campus TV and radio stations to the building and provided upgraded research space for psychology majors.
