The Students Veterans Association (SVA) at PennWest Edinboro builds a community of veterans that support each other academically and socially while bringing awareness of military and veteran issues to the campus.
The Student Veterans Association is open to any current student who has served in the U.S. Armed Forces, whether on Active Duty, in the Reserves, or in the National Guard.
As a service-oriented organization, the main goals of the group are to increase veteran camaraderie and peer support, support all student veterans on campus, bring awareness of military and veteran issues to campus, and to serve the larger veteran community in surrounding areas.
The SVA meets twice a month on Tuesdays in the Veterans Success Center during the
Fall and Spring semesters. We also host several major events each semester like our
Pets and Vets: PTSD and Service Fair, Professional Photo Day, and Not-so-Mandatory
Fun Day.
