Not living on campus? You are not alone! In fact, approximately 70% of our undergraduates commute either from home or another off-campus location. As a commuter student at PennWest Edinboro, you will enjoy the same opportunities, benefits and services as those who live in residence halls. So feel free to join a club, participate in sports or student government, hang out on campus to study or just be with friends. Even though you're a commuter, you'll still enjoy a first-rate college experience.
Cruise on in. There's a spot for you in the student-designated parking lots on campus. You will need to register your vehicle with the University Police to obtain a valid parking permit.
You're welcome to use any of the study lounges located throughout the classroom buildings, the student center and the library – including a 24/7 study lounge at the entrance to the Baron-Forness Library. The Commuter lounge, located in Room 240 on the second floor of the Frank G. Pogue Student Center, is equipped with computer stations, a TV, refrigerator and plenty of locker space.
All students, including commuter students, are strongly encouraged to register for
EU Shield, an emergency alert communication system that notifies you in case there are cancellations
or emergencies. You can also check the website or local TV and radio stations for
notifications.
