The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) staff at the Ghering Health and Wellness Center at PennWest Edinboro consists of caring faculty who are licensed psychologists and mental health professionals.
The CAPS staff has one thing in common: a determination to get you back on track to
enjoying life. The staff consists of licensed psychologists and mental health professionals
who provide counseling for personal, social, and emotional concerns, as well as brief
psychotherapy, crisis intervention, group programs, personal development opportunities,
prevention and outreach services, psychological assessment and referrals.
Psychologist
Dr. Mary Wolf is a licensed psychologist who earned a doctorate in clinical psychology
from Widener University in 1994. After 20 years of employment at PennWest Edinboro,
she is still passionate about counseling college students. Her professional interests
include depression, grief/loss, students' adjustment/transition to college and eating
disorders. She enjoys nature, red rock mountains, travel, fitness, and spending time
with her pet dog, Abby, who is a certified therapy dog.
Licensed Social Worker
Lexie Mustin received her M.S.W. from Edinboro University in 2005 and is a licensed
social worker. Her professional interests include trauma, grief/loss, depression,
anxiety and couples issues. Her personal interests include photography, nature, cooking,
antiquing, travel, history and the beach. She is the proud mother of three children
and a little dog named Jett.
Licensed Professional Counselor
Maria received her M.S. degree from Gannon University. She is a Licensed Professional
Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and trained EMDR therapist. She has
been in private practice since 1999. Her professional interests include working with
trauma, depression, anxiety and adjustment issues. She enjoys weekends with family
and friends, exploring new places and is a Reiki Master.
Licensed Professional Counselor
As an Edinboro alumni Dale returns to campus able to address a full spectrum of ages
and treatment issues. He is an avid long-distance hiker with a great love and respect
of nature. His favorite quote is "Life is the art of drawing without an eraser" by
John W. Gardner.
Clinical Case Manager
Haley received her M.S.W. from Edinboro University in 2015 and is a licensed social
worker. She has worked with a variety of demographics in the mental health field including
veterans, geriatrics and inmates. She is very passionate about the younger generation
and the impacts of advanced technology. She enjoys reading, drawing, Dungeons and
Dragons, food, Netflix, comics, anime, and anything remotely nerdy.
