How Edinboro Supports You.

Our program faculty strive to meet your individual needs and assist you along your leadership journey.

During this 27-credit program, you will complete a variety of courses that range from Educational Leadership to the Financial Aspects of Educational Leadership. If you have already earned your Master's in Teacher Leadership at Edinboro, you can complete your Principal certification in just 15 credits.

Two Principal Internships will give you hands-on experience in both elementary and secondary settings. Prior to earning your certificate, you will be required to conduct and present a focus project on student achievement in each of the school settings.

With passing grades on the appropriate PRAXIS School Leaders Licensure Assessment, you will have the tools you need to succeed as a principal in a K-12 school.
