The PennWest Edinboro Access Office provides the following services:
Issuing and collecting University ID cards
Issuing long-range proximity cards
Granting electronic access via a University ID card
Distributing and collecting physical keys
PennWest Edinboro requires that all students, faculty and staff carry their ID card
while on campus. ID cards are required for the following campus activities:
Accessing student meal plans
Door access
Fitness Center admittance
Charging books to financial aid at the Campus Bookstore
Obtaining a parking pass
Checking out books from the Baron-Forness Library
Entry into University athletic games and cultural events
If you have a PSECU bank account, your ID card can also be used as an ATM card.
Students, faculty and staff can obtain a University ID by following the online procedures. Appointments can also be made by contacting the Access Office at 814-732-2635 or
access_office@pennwest.edu.
PennWest Edinboro alumni can obtain a University ID card which allows you to sign up for a University Fitness
and Recreational Facility membership. Your first alumni ID card is free, and replacement cards are $20. ID cards can be
obtained through the Edinboro Marketplace.

Upon move-in, students residing in a residence hall will be provided a room and mailbox
key from Residence Life and Housing.
Regular Business Hours
Contractor/vendor requesting campus building access should send an email to facilities@pennwest.edu stating the nature of the request. Request for access should be submitted 24 hours
in advance. In case of an emergency situation, a phone call to the Faculties Office
at 814-732-2826 will be accepted.
Information to include in the work order:
Name of person responsible for contractor/vendor
Phone number of person responsible for contractor/vendor
Contractor/vendor company name
Contractor/vendor phone number
Specific location of area(s) that needs to be accessed
Duration of access
Purpose of access
Contractor/vendor will report to the Facilities Office at 150 Perry Lane to obtain the access device.
Prior to obtaining the access device, the contractor/vendor will need to provide the
following information:
Photo identification
Contractor/vendor company name
Contractor/vendor name
Contractor/vendor cell phone number (while working on campus)
Building(s) to be accessed
Upon receipt of requested information, the Facilities Office will issue the appropriate
access device.
Upon completion of the work, the contractor/vendor shall return all access devices
to the Facilities Office. Access devices returned after business hours can be returned
to the Facilities Office key drop box. At no time is a contractor/vendor authorized to leave the campus with the access devices
or keep them overnight.
After Hours
These procedures will be followed for any contractor/vendor that will require access
devices outside of normal University business hours.
Access will be requested by submitting an email to the University Police at police-edn@pennwest.edu, preferably 24 hours in advance. In emergency situations, a phone call from the requestor
to 814-732-2921 will be accepted.
Information to include in the request:
Requester’s name
Requester’s phone number
Contractor/vendor company name
Contractor/vendor phone number
Specific location of the area(s) to be accessed
Duration of the access
Purpose for the access
Contractor/vendor will report to the University Police Department at 911 Scotland Road to obtain the access device.
Prior to obtaining the access device, the contractor/vendor will need to provide the
following information:
Photo identification
Contractor/vendor company name
Contractor/vendor name
Contractor/vendor cell phone number (while working on campus)
Building(s) to be accessed
Upon receipt of requested information, the Police Department will issue the appropriate
access device.
Upon completion of the work, the contractor/vendor shall return all access devices
to the University Police Department. At no time is a contractor/vendor authorized to leave the campus with the access devices
or keep them overnight.

For safety and security purposes, the following areas require a University employee
to supervise the contractors/vendors:
