Consortium Agreements

Consortium Agreements

A Consortium Agreement is a contract between two colleges/universities that recognizes the registration of a student at each site for financial aid purposes. It also certifies that only one of the two colleges/universities will administer Title IV financial aid for the student.  PennWest Edinboro would be considered your “home” institution and the other school would be considered the “host” institution.

Follow the steps below to complete the Consortium Agreement forms.  Return all completed documentation to the Financial Aid Office at PennWest Edinboro:

  1. Print the two Consortium Agreement forms from our Forms page:
    1. Transfer Credit form to be completed and signed by the student’s dean at Edinboro and the student
    2. Cost of Attendance form to be completed by the host University financial aid office
  2. Provide a copy of the bill from the host institution

IMPORTANT: All of the above steps must be completed prior to the student beginning study at the host institution. The student should be aware of the host school's tuition and billing policies. The student is responsible for paying the host institution directly. PennWest Edinboro will process financial aid according to federal, state, and institutional guidelines.
